Braves Continue to Play Good Ball

The Atlanta Braves are playing really good ball of late with a 7-3 record in the last ten games.

The recent hot streak the Braves are going on starts with the dynamic pitching of the Atlanta pitching staff.

One pitching dominating for the Brave is the young right-handed Shelby Miller.

Miller was acquired from the St. Louis Cardinals which dealt Jason Heyward and Jordan Walden to the Red Birds.

Miller was a great addition to the newly rebuilding Atlanta Braves.

Miller's last start went six innings giving up two runs and striking out five. Luis Avilan got the 3-2 win Saturday afternoon against the Brewers.

Mike Foltynewicz was on the hill for the Braves and was nothing short of dominate.

Foltynewicz went seven and two thirds this afternoon giving up only one run, three hits and striking out seven making his record 3-1 of the season.

With the 2-1 run today the Braves move to 22-21 of the season.

The Braves win the series with the Brewers winning three out of four games.

Atlanta will travel west to take on the L-A Dodgers in a three game series.

Road to the Finals

There are four teams left playing in the NBA playoffs, those being: the Cleveland Cavaliers, Atlanta Hawks, Houston Rockets and Golden State Warriors.

In the Eastern Division the Cavaliers and Hawks are matched up. Both teams have unique styles of play.

Kyrie Irving and Lebron James make a deadly combination for the Cavaliers. Both guys can
knock down shots and dish it out to other players to get assists.

With the Hawks there is Paul Millsap, Al Horford, and Kyle Korver. Millsap and Horford have a strong presence inside the paint, but with Korver he is one of the most deadly three-point shooter in the game.

The Hawks are looking to appear in it's first NBA Finals. The only thing in their way is the Cleveland Cavaliers who leads the series 1-0 with the next game set for Friday, May 22 at 6:30.

In the Western Conference Finals the Houston Rockets square up against the Golden State Warriors.

The bearded assassin, James Harden, and big man Dwight Howard are the arsenal that the Rockets supply. Harden is an all-around player who can hurt you on either offense or defense. Howard is a monster in the whole league of his own. The big man has a tremendous presence in the post whether it is blocking shots or grabbing boards. The only thing that blocks them from advancing is the Golden State Warriors.

Golden State has a whole arsenal of three-point shooters, one being Stephen "The Chef" Curry. The MVP himself can probably knock a three pointer down anywhere behind the arch. Warriors have a dynamic three-point shooting team with Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson and the rest.

The Warriors edged out the Rockets Thursday night with an 99-98 win. Golden State now leads the series 2-0 and look more confident to make it to the finals.

The Braves' bats helped Miller out early by scoring five runs in the second inning.

It was a big day for the Atlanta Braves as they take the second game in the three game series against the Miami Marlins winning 5-3.

Jace Peterson was the spotlight this afternoon as he hit a grand-slam in the third to give the Braves the lead in the second inning to put them up 5-1.

Alex Wood gave up only two runs in the seven innings of work.

One of the runs came off a Giancarlo Stanton home-run being a 478-foot blast.
