It was a big day for the Atlanta Braves as they take the second game in the three game series against the Miami Marlins winning 5-3.Jace Peterson was the spotlight this afternoon as he hit a grand-slam in the third to give the Braves the lead in the second inning to put them up 5-1.
Alex Wood gave up only two runs in the seven innings of work.
One of the runs came off a Giancarlo Stanton home-run being a 478-foot blast.
Wood now improves his record to 2-2 and the win gives Jason Grilli eleven saves this season.
The Braves now improve it's record to 17-19.
Shelby Miller is on the mound tomorrow afternoon for the Braves as they look to sweep Miami.
