The Atlanta Braves completed a three game series today with the Miami Marlins winning the series 2-1. Alex Wood was on the mound for the Braves and Nathan Eovaldi for the Marlins
Eovaldi went sixth and second innings giving up nine hits but only one run.
That only run was the deciding factoring in the game tonight. The only run of the game came via off an Evan Gattis long ball in the second inning.
Alex Wood pitched through eight shutout innings only gave up five hits and struck of 12.
Alex Wood got the win, 10-10 of the season, and Craig Kimbrel came away with the save his 41st save of the year.
The Braves will be hosting the Phillies in a three game series starting Monday. Atlanta hopes to get into the Wild Card with a good showing against the Phillies.
